Science Professionals Will Turn School No. 19 Students into“Scientists for a Day”; Superintendent Brizard To Participate
 
 
 


Professionals from a range of careers in the field of science will share their expertise with students through presentations and hands-on activities on Wednesday, May 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Dr. Charles T. Lunsford School No. 19, 465 Seward Street.

More than 45 volunteer presenters are participating in Science Fair Day, coming from a variety of organizations and locations across western New York. Participants represent colleges and universities, corporations, medical organizations, meteorological agencies, wildlife and conservation groups, nature centers, and many others. (COMPLETE LIST OF PRESENTERS ATTACHED.)

Superintendent of Schools Jean-Claude Brizard, a former science teacher, will be presenting to a fourth-grade classroom from 9:30-10:10 a.m. in room 218.

Students will attend five sessions that are relevant to their grade-level curriculum.

All students, staff, and presenters will wear T-shirts bearing the words “Making Community Connections Through Science” and the School No. 19 logo.
