Undersea World is Subject of Museum Night at Early Childhood School of Rochester

The world beneath the sea will be featured in student-created exhibits during Museum Night at the Early Childhood School of Rochester (School No. 57) on Wednesday, April 9 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. The school serves children in pre-K through grade 2 and is located at 15 Costar Street.

The evening will feature projects developed by students as part of a unit of study entitled “Under the Water.” Each year the entire school studies a specific non-fiction unit for six weeks. To cap off the unit, the students hold a grand opening of a museum dedicated to the subject they studied.

Featured will be student multi-media presentations and reports, paper mache sea creatures, murals of sea life, and performances of songs with an undersea theme. Even the refreshments will reflect the evening’s theme.

The museum opening is one of the school’s biggest events of the year showcasing student learning.
