The battle of student-built robots taking place in Rochester March 7 and 8 will be broadcast on cable channel 4 through a partnership between the Rochester City School District, RIT, Sargent Productions, and Time Warner Cable.
Start-to-finish coverage of the FIRST Finger Lakes-Upstate New York Regional Robotics Competition can be seen throughout Monroe County on cable channel 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8.
Students from the Rochester City School District under the direction of the District’s video production staff will be participating in the broadcast both behind the cameras and on camera in interviews with the participating teams.
More than 30 teams from the Rochester area and beyond will bring their robots to RIT’s Gordon Field House to compete in this regional event. Among the participants are teams from the following Rochester city schools: Edison Educational Campus, Franklin Educational Campus, Marshall High School, School Without Walls, and Wilson Commencement Academy.
