In Memoriam: Le Ngo

Le NgoIt was with deep sadness that we learned of the death of one of our students in the multi-car crash on Route 390 on Sunday, February 10, 2008.

Le Ngo, 17, was an 11th grade student at School of the Arts. Le played the flute and majored in music at SOTA. She was an honor student, very quiet, and was loved by her teachers and her friends.

“This is a terrible loss for School of the Arts and for the entire Rochester City School District,” said Superintendent of Schools Jean-Claude Brizard. “We extend our sympathy to Le’s family. We share in their grief and will do everything possible to support them at this time of sorrow.”

“She was a wonderful young woman and the kind of student that every teacher would love to have in their class,” said School of the Arts Principal Brenda Pacheco-Rivera. “She will be sadly missed.”

Le has four younger siblings, three attending Henry Lomb School No. 20 and one attending Jefferson High School.

To help the Ngo family offset funeral expenses, Friends of School of the Arts is accepting monetary donations. Donations should be sent to:
